    Changing the language of a WP blog.

    Anyone ever set up a non english WP2.2.1 blog,
    I've set up a fresh install and set up the languages folder in wp-includes and stuck the correct. mo file in there, and adjusted the wp-config file to tell WP to use the mo file as language default, but the fucker isnt working..hehe
    anyone got any ideas.

      I installed this as french:

      http://dfidvd.com/

      The admin is french ( wich I really didn't care), but some stuff remains in English ...
      Probably a half done translation, or some bugs. I haven't tweaked it yet , this weekend probably.
      I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

      But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

          Did you have to do anything more than the steps I outlined above?
          Mine's supposed to be in spanish, but the whole thing is still in english.

                  No.. just uploaded the files, changed my config, and got a half translated version...

                  I did tough change the page titles ( horizontal top menu ) by changing the text.

                  Try to reinstall ...

                      Edit the "locale.php" file on the /wp-includes/ directory if you need to change days/month etc's...

                          I did a complete reinstall with the languages directory and adj. config already in place, but no joy. damn thing..

                          By adjusting the config file and uploading the language files it should adjust this automatically I think.

                          If I could get it to wirk I'd show ya..hehe
