None. It's not really the USA's business. That's part of the problem. Wasn't the business of Britain either. That's another part of the problem. Pretty hard to advance to a modern state when you have no state to begin with and have never had the opportunity to decide your own fate.

The United States is how old? Nothing but rocks, trees, lakes, desert, plains - and in just over 200, not 2000, years look at what was produced.
You say that like the USA started out from nothing. Although it has mutated in 235 years, the USA was basically just a branch that snapped from the 'tree' of the UK, based on the same language (not even any spelling differences in 1776), same laws, same culture, same religions and customs, same education, same people basically. Not a country of existing people throwing off the shackles of a foreign oppressor (that's more aptly applied to the natives who failed, and were slaughtered) just Europeans working (and stealing) new land.

The USA, being an independent (not oppressed) European country located on another continent, benefited from all the advancements not only within the USA but in Europe and the European Empires.

People were criticising Libya which, unlike the USA which has been able to expand and exploit as much land and resources as it could over the last 235 years, has been restricted to borders arbitrarily drawn on an atlas by Europeans. Unlike the USA, it was a people oppressed and exploited and prevented from having the same self-determination that Europeans, including the ones that settled in what is now the USA, have taken for granted for centuries. Despite this it had advanced considerably in the past 40 years under Gaddafi, and is now in a new phase (if you believe the hype) of becoming "democratic". Libya is 60 years old.

Now what was so great about the USA aged 60? In 1836 it was an unimportant, relatively powerless and backward European settlement of 25 states that nobody gave a fuck about, with endemic lawlessness, violence and racism, abuse and maltreatment of native Americans, slavery not to be abolished for another three decades and the vast majority of the population unable to vote. Amazing.

The power of the USA has come about almost entirely because of its nauseating opportunism in WWII, appeasing Hitler, taking advantage of the internecine warfare that nobody does better than white people (despite the clueless shitheads who think that's an 'Arab' trait) to profiteer from the war, build up its military industrial complex, and destroy the British Empire.

Since the war the 'independent' third world was simply a chess board for the USA and USSR to fight their proxy wars. Arming, overthrowing and destabilising countries for their own ends, regardless of the consequences for those countries.

Then you blame those countries for the state they are in, as if the USA has just minded its own business for the past 60 years.

Take a look at what's been produced in Israel in less than 100 years.
Well they produced the worst peacetime naval attack on the USA since Pearl Harbor in 1967. And ever since then have had the USA's balls in a vice, extracting billions every year from American taxpayers. All the while causing enormous problems for the USA and Americans, and tainting the USA's reputation around the world, especially the Middle East. Yes, quite an achievement.
