The problem is coming up with a law that wont stifle innovation, while protecting content producers at the same time.
A lot of people *hate* the DMCA, and its been grossly abused since it was created. I wouldnt be sad to see the law go. Since the DMCA, many researchers wont even step foot in the united states for fear of being prosecuted.
Its hard to make laws that would enable you to go after bittorrent sites, that wouldnt also take out anyone any kind of legit user generated content portal, or make things like Google, illegal.ICQ: 284903372Comment
