Is it the coolest car on the road today, or is it a mismatch of 4x4 and sports saloon?
In my opinion, having owned several Porsche's, 2 Ferrari's, a Lamborghini Gallardo and an Audi R8, the X6 gets just as many looks, yet doesn't get the abuse. A Range rover sport is an antique by comparison, as is a Audi Q7 a barge with bad handling and far too much presence.
The X6 is fast, handles sublimely, seats 4 in comfort, and is still rare on the road, giving exclusivity and admiring glances.
Some hate it, some love it.

Reason for asking I'm about to change cars again but cannot see a replacement for my X6.
