It is actually the clearest example of what I consider the plundering of the adult business by the dating and cam sites.

Dating and cam sites don't have any "content" that can be traded. Dating sites have none (who is going to want to download a collection of dating profiles) and cam sites have little (recorded cam shows at 2 frames a second isn't the best video content out there).

They have nothing to lose from torrent sites. They have nothing to lose from content theft because they have no content to steal. Their support of torrent sites is specifically bad for the adult business, but too many people are short sighted and look at the dollars they make from dating sites and not the damage done. It is pretty much like a drug addict, to addicted to the high to really care what they are doing to themselves.

If the dating sites had some skin in the game and were losing value because of torrent sites, they would have a different opinion, but as long as they are losing nothing, they just laugh at the adult producers who make the content that is traded for the benefit of the dating sites.

Until the adult business figured out that these sites are the opposition and not partners, things will not change. Lars laughs his ass off every day, knowing full well that every new porn site and every new photoset is a new way for him to make money without cost.

I'm not up on who is promoting these sites or not (outside of those that have been mentioned 100+ times here already), but what other cam sites do you know of that are using torrent sites for any means?

Outside of cams.com, I have not taken notes. No one program stands out, but I have seen where various white label sites are abused, and other programs get traffic via landing pages and fake front doors. cams is one of the few cam sites that specifically seems to tolerate and potentially encourage torrent sites to run their geo targetted and live update iframe ads.

Most other programs take actions when reported. But Flashlight, Totemcash and AFF are by far those that turn the blind eye to the reports

I have seen close to 40 sites using camconomy.net service, and just build a clean and 100% identity free front-page to hide their names
