Have you been to Paris? Unless things have changed in the last few years, that was seriously one of the dirtiest non-third world cities I've ever visited. I was extremely surprised.

I'll admit, yes there are alot of fucking homeless people in some areas of the downtown core.. What do you expect, drugs are easily available, and it doesn't hit -35 like your farm does during winter. Where would you go if you had to sleep on the streets during winter. Alot of them come from east. But yes, it's a serious problem that has exploded in the past few years here.

Not to feed the trolls, but he isn't completely wrong. Vancouver has a pretty bad homeless problem, and a lot of drug use out in the open in certain parts of the city. The second poster hit it though - due to our mild winters, the homeless flock here from the rest of the country.

I don't understand this city is a cesspool shit, however. Step out of your ivory tower every now and again and take a look at the real world. Not everyone is wealthy and successful. Some people have real mental health and addiction issues.

sure there are some parts that are dirty. just like every city including cowtown. I travel alot , and vancouver is by far the cleanest city of its size in north america. You dont judge how clean a city is by looking at a 2 block area downtown ( unless of course you are semi-retarded and fuck cattle for a living)

I just visited vancouver for the first time 2 weeks ago. Lived in Toronto my whole life and have never been west of Ontario.

The drug problem there....Jesus! Someone please post the laws because I am unclear.....is it legal to pocess in vancouver?

I can't believe the ages that have access to hardcore drugs. 19, 20, 21 ....no problem....like seriously dudes, it's crazy.

I didn't think it was really that dirty....BUT the roads in and around the city....wow those are complete bullshit. like the 2 lane road that takes you from the airport to downtown....they can't be serious? I mean did they even look at that before bidding for the oylmpics?..... that is totaly going to screw them up.

That being said I stayed at a hotel that had the most awesome condo style room and apprently was the tallest building in Vancouver. The view and weather was just spectaular.....zero humidity. I was apprently there on the hottest day ever recorded and it was tame in comparison to what goes on in unlivable weather in Toronto.

besides the roads and crack heads I just loved the view, the weather the sunsets....it was all seriously beautiful....that's what i thought at least
