Of course they are going to "initially" target top affiliates, and id wager mucho dollars that all of them are infringing on peoples copyrights.

At the same time.....I suspect that they will employ plenty of common sense in their investigations whereby if some of Hotfiles top affiliates made big bucks from their "cat sneezing and grandpa falls over" videos...that they wont be fined or receiving jail time.

I see... so you think it is standard that you join GFY.com as soon as you enter the adult industry, and if you do not you are a thief.

No but claiming to know me but not GFY and being in the business since 2002 makes you a liar.
You have a reason to lie.
I'm sure it's because you weren't a theif just as I'm sure you weren't paid by me because you weren't a theif.

We all post their pictures, that outs them to their friends and family.

some know it will happen, some don't. Stupid or not we don't worry about it, as we fill our pockets.

Oh darn... you got me. You owe me 5,000 bucks. But since I know you need it, why don't you just keep it and buy yourself something pretty. Or a clue... or some sun tan oil.

The bottom line is, lack of consequences would make people walk into a Best Buy and walk out with 10 XBOXes, the same as they would download 10 movies. If they can bypass a payment system(steal) and no one does anything about it, they'll do it. It's basic human nature.

people that just consume, and don't produce anything except farts couldn't be bothered with worrying about the artists that create the work they love to watch/listen to so much.

No doubt. The MPAA in the past certainly haven't just got hold of lists of IP addresses and with no proof whatsoever of a crime having taken place, sent those people quasi-blackmail letters demanding money for out of court settlements.

Oh hang on a minute, that's EXACTLY what they did!

Lots of people have legit uses for sharing large files. Those people are now going to be hounded by the MPAA and they have done nothing wrong.

That is the issue. Clearly, if you can prove someone is breaking the law, they should be banged up. However, proof is the key word.

In the article they stated the last 2-3 numbers from the IP addresses could be left out. They have no intention of going after specific uploaders and downloaders. The only identities they want released are the top affiliates who will prove to be key witnesses in their case.

They want the data to prove the service was used widespread to profit from copyrighted works.

As for the top affiliates having 'legit uses', they're sharing 1000s of copyrighted movies downloaded by millions of users. If they weren't breaking the law they'll have their day in court.

Ah, right. Well as long as they are going after the people making money from the service, not just using it for work purposes, then that does sound like A Good Thing. I stand corrected.

Those are likely to be pirated too actually. If a cute cat video can get 20 million viewers it's worth money and therefore worth pirating

I think the reason you shit money so easily is that you have clearly had some big black cock stuffed up your ass to loosen things up. BTW, you stole your banner logo from someone else.

As for the rest of you, you are all imbeciles if you think this benefits you in any way like this will be used against your dreaded tubes.

i suspect most of their "top affiliates" are probably located in Ho Chi Minh City or New Dehli.
