Au contraire (baby), I think you missed my point. I was agreeing with you; I meant jimmycooper's post was weird. Like tracking down someone's entire history of where they were conceived or born or who their daddy is or what their passport says just to see if they 'qualify', under whatever spurious definition, as British, like it even really matters in any way at all, and getting way too hostile about it.
