The monkees just like whoevers paying the most.....Wupload (basically Filesonic) was the latest kid on the block and I saw a lot of users swap their links over, same when Oron came out.
Who knows when new laws will be coming into existence but, you'd think as an interim measure (and without even needing to re-write the existing DMCA) it could at least be amended from 48 hours to 12 hours.

Oron is the worst - i have had to re-send complaints many times and have waited as long as 3 weeks.
And there is no 48 hours for removal clause in the DMCA - another huge hole in that shitty law. i forget the legal language but it's something vague similar to 'in a timely manner' and from what I read courts in these cases have considered a week and even longer as timely. the article i read said 2 weeks is getting into a dicey area for a service provider to have not removed content after a DMCA complaint.
