You wonder wrong. The left is hardly pushing Ron Paul and polls show Ron Paul is much more likely to beat Obama than anyone, but Romney who is 1% ahead of Paul. While they are not in agreement on many issues, Jon Stewart genuinely likes Ron Paul, as a person, and feels he is being slighted.
