    Who are the sharks of this industry?

    Hi folks,

    I'm curious about something!

    Who are the biggest porn studios today?

    I'm talking about the most popular brands. You know, the big fishes.

    My "top 10" guess:

    -Private
    -Penthouse
    -Evil Angel
    -Digital Playground
    -Elegant Angel
    -Hustler
    -Red Light District
    -Brazzers
    -21 Sextury
    -Digital Sin

              Vivid and Zero Tolerance need to be in there. Also New Sensations.

              Check out the studios who produced all the avn nominated movies last year.

                      Red Light District went out of biz a while ago I think. you forgot Vivid Video.

                      you're only talking about DVD biz it looks like - a ton of web companies make more than most of those companies. Evil Angel partnered up with Gammae, after Gammae's take, after affiliates - who knows what's left for Evil Angel, probably more than what they were making on their own but wouldn't be big money. their biz is still DVD.

                      i bet Homegrown Video outsells a few of the DVD studios on your list.
                      I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

                                          True, but adspend can be viewed as an indicator of size, advertising drives awareness, and he's looking for the biggest players. If he was just asking for top quality, I would have also added Dorcel.

                                              Pfft. I get nominated for AVNs and I'm not a shark. More like a little tadpole swimming around in a little pool of water left over from a flood.

                                              Vivid survives on comps, celeb, and parody videos. Other than that, they suck balls.

                                              But I guess the term "shark" would have to be defined in order to get a proper list. Top selling, most produced scenes, oldest business, biggest brand, and so on.
