Sorry to hear your pooch is going through that ... and I know it's wrecking to you.
If it comes time to make a decision, make the decision based on the needs of the dog and not what you want.
Sometimes it is hard to let go, but you'd be doing your faithful companion a favor.
No need to make pets suffer too much if there is no hope for recovery when the process of putting them to sleep is so peaceful.
