    Casey (Anthony) at the bat.

    The outlook wasn't brilliant for beautiful Caylee Anthony that day;
    Mom ?Casey? was tired of mothering and wanted to go play;
    And when her girl friends went to Fusion, and the guys did the same,
    A sickly thought fell upon Casey that all would soon proclaim.

    The fun proceeded Casey, in which she wanted to partake,
    And her object was to party, the cost a true heartbreak;
    So, upon that sickened multitude Casey planned Caylee?s exclusion,
    For there seemed no other way of Casey's ever partying at Fusion.

    A straggling mom so wanted to go, in deep despair, she wrest
    Of the hope which "springs eternal in the human breast;
    Still she thought, If only Caylee could but leave the earth,
    She?d be a happy camper now with Caylee in the dirt.

    But Caylee let drive a smile, to the wonderment of mom,
    Again she thought in deep despair, shall I let my plan go on?
    But when the dust had lifted and all was done and said;
    Twas was mommy free at last, with Caylee lying dead.

    There was ease in Casey's manner as she stepped into that place;
    There was pride in Casey's bearing and a smile on Casey's face,
    And when, responding to the cheers, she lightly doffed her skirt,
    And strolled amongst the crowd in her soaking wet T shirt.

    Then from five thousand throats and more there rose a lusty yell,
    It rumbled through the valley, it rattled in the dell,
    It knocked upon the mountain and recoiled upon the flat,
    Casey, mother Casey, how could you do that?

    Ten million eyes were on her as she entered the court room;
    Five million hearts were sickened and completely filled with gloom.
    Then, while the writhing jury whose verdict would soon unzip:
    Defiance gleamed in Casey's eye, a sneer curled Casey's lip.

    And now the verdict for count one came roaring through the air,
    Casey stood a-starring, in haughty grandeur there,
    Close by the dead beat Baez stood; as count one?s verdict was read,
    Will I be put to death, thought Casey. "Not Guilty? the court clerk said.

    From the benches, filled with people, there went up a muffled roar,
    Like the beating of the storm waves on a stern and distant shore.
    "Kill them; kill the jury!" shouted someone from the stand;
    And it's likely they'd have killed them had not judge Perry raised his hand.

    With a smile of Christian charity, Casey's visage shone;
    Judge Perry stilled the rising tumult; he bade the case go on;
    He signaled to the court clerk, and once more the verdict flew;
    And Casey listened closely, twas not guilty to "Count two."

    "Fraud," cried the maddened people, and the echo answered "Fraud,"
    But one scornful look from Perry, and the multitude was awed.
    They saw his face grow stern and cold; they saw his muscles strain,
    And they knew the jury wouldn't say not guilty once again.

    The smile is gone from Casey's lips; as count three she must await;
    Her selfish act of cruel violence is about to meet it?s fate.
    And now the court clerk sees count three, and now she lets it go,
    And now the world is shattered by the look of Casey's glow.

    Oh! Somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
    The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light.
    And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children glee;
    But there is no justice for Caylee, Casey Anthony has been set free.

            Not long, a few hours. It’s just a revision of the famous and classic poem.

            Think I'd have better things to do but this case has real effect on me.
