just becuase there are thieves out there doesnt mean its ok for everyone to break the rules. We all have to stand together to fight copyright infringement and illegal activity.
If this was just over a 30 second clip or whatever, Im sure you or whoever else with the issue could explain that to them, and this could be worked out.

Here's the rub - the 3k he made from that affiliate may have been lost many times over from other affiliates who couldn't or wouldn't use the same material without permission and wouldn't abuse the system like that.
If it is the case I remember, it isn't only using video that was SPECIFICALLY restricted to the members area, but the guy had the nuts to put his logo / URL on the video as well.

You just don't get the point... I could make a gallery using the hardcore parts of that video and easily get 50+ sales that week, but because it does not accurately represent the rest of the site those members are NOT going to rebill and many of them will be pissed off and charge back.
That video is the most hardcore part of her site and your friend was giving it away for free... Of course he doesn't deserve to keep the money generated from it, that's like a spammer sending out 10000000 emails to generate sales then expecting to keep the revenue even though it's against the programs terms.Comment

First 1) I dont like Steve Lightspeed just for they way he posts here.
2) Just stop sending traffic to his fucking sites. When he complains about you for posting a 10 minute clip from his site + sending him a few sales. let it go. If someone wants his stuff for free there are donkey. torrent, usenet and so on and he will not get a single sale for that.
I visited your board and i guess it is ok. there are no full lenght movies, there are no memberarea passwords. It´s just that the clips presented there are a bit longer than ordinary FHG clips and he is sending you sales and fame with that.

Steve is bar far one of the nicest, most genuine individuals in the business. He's also a smart business owner and whether or not you agree with his business decisions at the end of the day they are entirely up to him. The issue of copyrights is one of principle and control. It's the owner's discretion to do what makes him the best long term or short term money or to make decisions that are revenue negative if he fundamentally disagrees with the activity.

There is only 1 thing that keeps comming to mind every time I see an issue like this on the boards in a public forum.... Why in the world do people not just ICQ each other with there issues? 99% of the time it would end in "oh man I'm sorry I didn't know or mean to do anything wrong, let me fix that right away!" But instead of doing it the right way, the way people in any other business would handle it, they come straight to the public and start accusing, name calling, threatening lawsuites and more! If this is how non internet/adult business went in every day life, there would be drive by shootings in business parks, people calling the cops on each other over simple misunderstandings, people going to the news and ruining each others reputation over little things. I can't think of a silly enough example but lets try - It would be like hiring a guy to cut your grass and if he left without weedwacking the perimeter, well instead of calling him to talk about it you went straight to the news and ruined his reputation, then he fights back and threatens to sue and on and on.... Why is it only in our business the first place people go with there troubles is to the public? I would never call some one out on here without first trying everything I could to work it out directly with the person I had the beef with. This post is not about steve or the other guy in this thead, that part is non of my biz,but rather everyone in general I see atleast 1 thread a day like this, the a pulic apology a few days later.... HAHAHAHA
