The baffling thing isn't that anyone thought that this movie had something to do with the classic Hasbro board game. The baffling this is that it actually does have something to do with the game! For what reason would they need to license "Battleship" to make an aliens vs US navy movie with a love story sub-plot? Just because they titled it "Battleship"?
