My advice is like someone before, start a blog on a free host and promote sites you like telling people why you like them. Research keywords and as much SEO as you can. But write articles about the sites that show yourself to be honest and interested in the sites you promote.

Find a good host, buy a domain, make a blog. Find 2-4 sponsort that have content you like. You can´t start an S&M blog if you think BDSM stands for "Betty Does Santa Maria". If you like teens, make a "teen" blog, like golden showers, well... there you go.

Write at least one post every day, but if you have only one site in the beginning, write 3-4 posts. In a month, buy another domain and start over. Link those two domains together in blogposts. Not all posts, just be clever.

Then, wait at least 6 months before you will see any money. Many that have this as a hobby has to wait a year or more before they earn $1,000/month. Don´t even THINK about money, but write and read what experienced webmasters say. Just be sure that you are able to see what is bullshit and what´s not.

Spend the next 6 months learning to code php or python, SQL, CSS, basic javascript, and how to design simple/nice looking graphics. Not only will you save a pile of money, you can express your ideas much better than explaining to a coder/designer what you want.

Not only do you want to get surfers, convert them, you need them coming back. That's the success of major Tube sites, but they might be converting 1-10,000. No one will tell for sure, but figure the major ones get millions of views on their videos as a guide.
