I even mentioned alternative explanations that do not contradict the general story. (smaller amount of fertilizer than the 6 tons he bought).
Looks like you're the one 'filtering perceptions'. Right now, we know very little about what happened. In 24 hours we've already heard several stories that have already been withdrawn (Norway's involvement in Afghanistan/Lybia, Kurdish terrorist groups, lashback for the Mohamed cartoons, 2 shooters,...).
As more and more facts become available we'll better be able to form an idea of what happened and how it happened.
