my only claim to fame with Howard was I was responsible for one of the most hate filled vicious rants Howard has ever spewed. This was a few years before I was on the Internet.

My AM radio could bring in WFAN in NYC where Don Imus hosted the morning show, one early morning I heard Imus getting cocky because Howard had been laying off him for awhile and Imus had recently married his young trophy wife and Howard was still with his average looking wife Allison - so Imus was making some pretty mean comments about Allison. So I called Bababooey who at that time would pick up the phone, not sure if he still does, Stern show was a lot smaller back in those days and told him what Imus had been saying. 10 minutes later Howard went absolutely insane on Imus for about half an hour. It was a kick to know I had a part in it.

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

I really did nothing wrong. I just was too careless in what words I submitted for approval.

For example I would submit

They would write me that is not allowed. Well They were keeping track. I did not know this is how it worked. After some more rejections on other paysite kws I had too many rejections and I got axed. They will not chg it.

Banned for life. Pretty severe. I did not realize by taking there time to see if certain words were ok (some were very marginal) that i was building up negative points.

Oh well. I actually lost 90% plus income overnight. I wish I would have been more of a gfy member with more confidence.

Maybe I could have dragged Google to the boards

Haha excellent Cool man Thanks for those stations. I now have over 2000 bits recorded and alphabetized. And all full shows back through 1994 But I will never listen to them all. I used to be on the newsgroups too.

Not so much anymore. I better keep that handle private.

It was more fun to here him when you would get a rogue station as he was careful back then that no markets get the signal or show without his consent.

The golden age of Stern was the 80's and early 90's - things changed after "Private Parts" and he became more of a national celebrity. I have the Channel 9 TV shows on VHS in a box somewhere - as bad as they were production wise they are amazing.

i gave up being an industry board agitator years and years ago - pre-GFY days for me. still a lot of shit that pisses me off but it's futile.

Yeah show keeps getting lamer I must say. Howard and Robin are actually the worst part of the show and bits by Christy, Sal and others shine. But he is a pro and good at what works and hiring the right people and is still the king on radio.

I love when he comes back from break and tells the stories. Guy is good tho like fine wine and nothing but love for Howard.

Plus his video interviews on HSOD are the best. Get em off the Newsgroups if anyone doesn't already know that. Best stuff on TV, some of the interviews. Had Lady Gaga on the other day.

Not on the ngs yet tho
