    Need to scam my way into seeing an endocrinologist

    My woman needs one badly.. and we're told that they won't see her without any insurance... I FINALLY got them to furnish copies of ALL tests she's had for her thyroid problems.. Is there a good place to post some of it on the web? I can't seem to get webMD to load, for me..

    What are some ways to make one see her??

    I'd also like that one thyroid expert guy on here to look it over for me..

                                          Go to the clinic for low-income people and if your household income qualifies, they'll hook you up with the specialist and it'll cost you like $25.

                                          I told someone on social security but not yet eligible for medicare to do that and everything is being taken care of. They're being charged based on their income and ability to pay. All of the heart tests cost like $150 (would have been thousands) and the cardiologist is $25 a visit. The hospital also wrote off their ER bill as charity.

                                          If she's been to the hospital for this, tell her to call the hospital's in-house social worker, who will make all of the connections.

                                                  In most cases you do not qualify for medicaid if you're over 21 or do not qualify otherwise (disability, etc.). I think the mother of children on medicaid also qualify, which I think is a joke. I'm for providing it when they're pregnant, but not just because they're a parent.

                                                                      Also once you reach 50 with a family history of cancer, etc no one wants to touch you ... if you are looking for single coverage not part of a companies group coverage it's impossible.

                                                                      The only government coverage you will receive is if you have a low income and no assets.

                                                                                  Now get older where statistically a claim is inevitable and you will be dropped like a hot rock unless you are part of a group plan that has enough young people in it.

Most Vets are small animal Vets but I bet if you look around you can find one with some barnyard experience to help out "your lady".

I remember someone I knew talked to a certain "one department" at the hospital one time and got some care some how.... that is a great idea.

                                                                                                                                                      If she has a serious problem followed by pain or some other crazy symptoms you can always take her to the E.R. They have to take you, even if you don't have insurance. Sure, you will owe them an arm and a leg but at least she will get the treatment she needs. She can pay them 5 bucks a month and never get into any kind of trouble.

                                                                                                                                                      Some places are kind and if they see you have no money, may be able to waive most of the bill as a charitable cause (I don't know how they accomplish this but I know it can be done). If they can do that for you though, it doesn't include the private doctors that will visit you, check your chart, ask you how you are feeling, then leave.

                                                                                                                                                      This isn't the best advice, as much as it is "no more options" type of advice.
                                                                                                                                                      Best of luck, I hope your girl feels better and finds help for her issues.
