I think that the majority of the Aaron supporters are probably newbies that don't really know Aaron. I think also that maybe they want to be in on a "rage against the machine" movement.
I would also be willing to bet, that the majority of the Aaron opposition are established webmasters that may be a bit tired of his antics. And the reason their numbers lack in the polls is because they don't waste time on Aaron threads one way or the other.
