If they kill someone sober, or on drugs, or while drunk, or whatever, it's bad. But the drugs, drunkeness or sobriety are not connected to the killing. You are responsible for your own actions. If you kill someone while drinking, it is not a reason to make drinking illegal. Cars driven by sober people kill tens of thousands each year. Should driving be illegal, or shouldn't we instead hold people responsible for the affect that they have on others, rather than the affect that they have on themselves?
