You can take criticism like a child and cry or you can take it to improve what you are doing.
That is the reason an intelligent person would post work on a public forum, to test and learn.
All that work with the models, costumes make up and blood is wasted because it is shot like a family portrait at some hick photographers.
If you got a good location and use some interesting lighting, try some different lenses everything would come together into something special.

You know, I once asked a local movie rental shop owner years ago as to how much of his income came out of the horror section. He told me a full 40% of his overall income came from it. Which tells me that a shit-ton of people love the genre, and a large % of the population always will.

That's really interesting. I think that a lot of times, an independent store can really make bank on carrying the thing that tons of people like, but which tends to be underserved, like with horror. Every few years, the mainstream movie industry rediscovers horror and acts surprised all over again that it sells.
I know, during the zine revolution, the stores which carried all the really offbeat magazines, whether or not they were adult like mine, could afford to do it because they made so much with niche adult stuff that they just needed to fill out the store real estate to have something besides those. Needless to say, a lot of those stores were my bread and butter, but, oh, did I give back whenever I entered one, I loved all that stuff so much.Comment

I work both in the marketing and design aspects with some of the darkest photographers, artsy goth, alt babes, you name it and that's a radically different market to what Amelia posted, let alone what YOU posted.
Amelia pics are perfect for the market she intends, where subjects are WAY MORE IMPORTANT than backgrounds and Photoshop. You, on the other side, posted: 2 extremely unappealing girls with ultra bland photography which have.... a wall (yeah, I'm sure Amelia can't afford a wall, she must live in a tent). Then a couple Photoshop tutorials and a extremely Photoshopped picture where the focal point is.... COLUMNS!!!!!! I mean, yeah, maybe for those that have a "columnophilia" fetish that photo must be really provocative, but for those looking for REAL people playing some kinks, then I'm sure Amelia's photos outsells your examples like 10000 to 1.

Ha, ha, thanks. That arrogant little boy Maxim Ford likes to spam webmasters pretending to be a fictional women named Cherry Chapman. Look at any good photography website and see what good photography can add to a picture.
Spend all that time getting good models and making them look good to waste the effort with banal crap photography. Who is the fool here ?
Hire a good photographer and see the difference. Why because you are making porn does it have to be sub standard? Look at mainstream that is the standard product thats paid for should get.
