They are and they do it from inside their paysites. they are selling membership traffic. Think about how much traffic you need. Could an email spammer do it? Well if they could the Internet would grind to a halt.
Think the message through, 1000 joins = $30,000 a month turn over. How much traffic? Top quality at 1-100 = 100,000 hits, do you know anyone with that much traffic?
