Mainstream blogs - duplicate content penalty question

Anyone experience any type of penalty using free articles on their mainstream blogs due to the duplicate content?

Went from a pr2 to a pr0 just after using a few feeds from sponsors. Whether or not that is just a coincidence I don't know. Not that I am one of those morons who chases pr. My traffic and income from that site are both up so google can blow me.
    I like pie.

tbh the PR thing i dont care too much about either , ass long as traffic and ratios are good its fine.

For duplicate content if you are using sponsor RSS , i would recommend some sort of "rewriter" that jumbles the text and adds some stuff before its posts it.

Not sure about a penalty, but when I do my own articles rather than copy something to fill in, I get better results. FAST! I went through a period where all I had time to do was cut and past some. Then I worked in more time, and started using my own stuff, and saw a big change in about 3 days.

I would not recommend using not exclusive text content if you depend on google's traffic....

def better to change the words up with a re-writer or just write your own all together.

              Okay, I'm lazy...LOL.
So, would it be better then to maybe write a brief paragraph to summarize the article, followed by the article?

              Would that help?

I'd put the full article on a second domain, summarize the article on the blog and then link to the full article on the second domain.
