I've noticed alot of people selling sponsor (ars, gamma etc) gallery templates lately. Is'nt this illegal?

I am in the works of releasing hundreds of galleries pre made for different sponsors all of which I have asked first .
I think the way they see it is instant promotional tools for their webmasters as well as the odd affiliate referal when they see a good gallery for a sponsor they might not have originally chosen .
I dont rip the logos though .. I build my own
