Seen that movie a while back and it is a reasonable account of the situation in the Middle East (It has shifted a little since the production time).

It is also true that there is enormous bias in US media - this hits ya in the face after being used to more rational media in other countries. There is no doubt that there has to be an "agenda" in the portrayal of events within the US. Part of that may be related to the relevance of lobby groups in Washington - all of these orgs have agendas and, more often than not, these agendas are not in the interests of the average US person. They are attempts, and often successful, to deviate the normal conduct of a democratic system.

I'm not going to "attack" Israel or Palestine - there are problems going both ways. The only comment would be that Palestine does not throw out images which would be highlighted in world media - even less in the US. The reverse of that applies to Israel where there is a very substantial "propaganda dept" which shapes news for any international media. This extends to 1000's of websites quoting alleged facts - when you examine these "facts", there is often no truth (even on very simple issues). It is not a total coincidence that all of these websites quote the same old stories, tho perhaps, revamped.

In the US and right now, there is an "internal war" in the media on various angles/topics. One of these "wars" are selling the concept of remaining or leaving Iraq. Another is an agenda to hit back to "we are under threat" story which people like the head of Homeland Security who has his own "gut feeling" the US is open to attack shortly. Excuse me?? His "gut feeling" is what the nation relies on?? It's all bollocks, tho little doubt the US will prob be hit at some future time in the same way other countries have.

Back to the Middle East - yes, agree the story portrayed is not exactly as it is and even more sad that anyone in the modern world has to live their lives, some for generations, in refugee camps - pathetic!

Yeah, he is someone worth listening to, just like Ayaan Hirsi Ali. These are people who have seen things from the other side.

Nope... no way. There are plenty rational and unbiased people from all cultures/races. It is up to them whether they can be "trusted to tell the truth" - it is entirely their choice.

The slight difference with Mr Horowitz is that he is an "activist" who has been, and still is, heavily involved in US politics ranging from Marxism to his current day label of neocon.

He has recently shown an intense interest in "educating" students on college campuses as to "how it is" and this has caused some contraversy. Mr Horowitz may be a totally honorable person and saying what he believes - however, it is more than clear he has an agenda to portray his views and that gives rise to him qualifying as the fountain of all knowledge.

It's the same anywhere - eg in commerical life etc - being an officer of a company and having agendas is not usually in the best interests of the shareholders that officer is supposed to be representing. Been there, done that and tired of listening to people with "agendas" other than what they supposed to be doing.

Besides, the stuff in that video is pretty factual and easy to verify. Let's face it, most people think that Palestine is a country that Israel invaded and occupied but that's just wrong. The video is just trying to show people the way things really went down.
