he is still a 2-1 favorite even after the # 2 guy makes it to the # 2 spot
absolutely no reason to play until its down to heads up

Hand #15 - Tuan Lam has the button in seat 6, Jerry Yang raises from late position to 1 million, and Philip Hilm thinks for about a minute before he calls from the small blind.

The flop comes {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Hilm checks, Yang bets 2 million, and Hilm thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. The turn card is the {2-Hearts}, Hilm checks, Yang bets 4 million, Hilm moves all in, and the crowd applauds as many of them rise to their feet.

Now it's Jerry Yang's turn to sweat a big decision. But he only thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for top pair, top kicker. Hilm shows {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of fives with a flush draw. Hilm needs to improve to stay alive.

The crowd is shocked, but pleased to see an all-in situation. Moments before the river card is dealt, everyone falls silent.

The river card is the {6-Clubs}, and there is a smattering of applause as Jerry Yang wins the pot with a pair of kings.

Philip Hilm is eliminated in ninth place, earning $525,934. The next player eliminated will receive $585,699 for eighth place.

Wish it was a closer race, it's more fun that way

ps-and they aren't showing the nut hands on screen, that is interesting.

The best guy at the table is already gone... The 2nd best made less in his poker life than I do in a year... and everyone else is completely unheard of with 0 money in poker except for a guy who has made $10,xxx in poker.

It means that if you add in 4000 people who don't know what a raise and a re-raise means and then goes all in with shit and still wins and takes out two pros you end up with what you have now.

I am going to assume by 'nut hands' that you mean 'hole cards'. They can't show those if they are broadcasting the event live. BTW, are Lon and Norman calling the action or is it just the usual table announcer?

I can't get the PPV because I dont have a cable box and I was going to go down to the Rio to watch it there, but nobody interesting made the final table.

ahhh, love like WSOP but you just can't see the nut cards on the live. bummer

it was a long slow death for the remaining 4. especially Lan who stayed in until 4 am trying to beat Jerry Lang, he came very close to doubling up. But the river stole it.

Jerry Yang won with over a million chips about 4am- I watched it on PPV and ate alot of popcorn.

He won about $8M plus.

Now I need a nap
