Not yet, this was something that interested me about 4 years ago when I was getting into my gardening. Too many kids in my neighborhood for me to take up this hobby.
When I move out on some open land where I dont have to worry about the bees being in close proximity to humans..I plan on picking up this interesting hobby.
its quite an inexpensive hobby and can pay for it self with the first harvest of honey or beeswax -

I've always been interested in this ... my late grandfather was a life member of the local bee keeping association and we always had boxes in our yard as kids. They are such an interesting creature and I've been following and trying to understand what's going on with them with this global movement. It seems we are having a lot of success here in Australia keeping our supplies up but in the rest of the world bees are just flying away and not coming back. Very strange!
Bee products are good for all sorts of conditions & extracts like propolis & pollen are really popular here & exported to asia a lot.
Do you have any hives of your own?Comment

I was really interested in it growing up, there was a keeper just a few blocks away from my home when I was a kid. He showed me how it's all done...then I got stung...and found out a few seconds later I was allergic
Luckily the guy kept a big stack of epi-pens near the hives, apparently it's pretty common when people visit.
