CS3 is DRASTICALLY faster. Well on Mac's atleast. Also nicer/cleaner interface.

yeah, it's faster on my pc, too.

and yes, I would say it's worth the upgrade.

I'd say so. It really is a lot faster and I think all of the new CS3 software performs much better on multi-threaded CPUs like the Intel dual and quad core chips.

I had a serial number but my dog ate it.

Just hit a torrent site and download a keymaker. No biggie.

can't help you with the serial number

but i love CS3 i was stuck on 7 for so long because i became so use to the interfaces, but once i got the hang of CS3 i couldn't go back to 7 so many little things that just make things even easier to do once you realize their there

I love CS3 too
1) it's really faster than CS2
2) it has raw camera plugin with dng convertor included
3) it just looks more stylish ;-)

CS3 is much nicer, and faster in many ways...
however it crashes like a motherfucker at times for reasons as simple as trying to move a window or select a layer.
And quite often Save For Web and Devices just doesn't want to work.
Which kind of sucks since they got rid of imageready.

no, they don't work. they've already been used too many times. I guess I'm going to give them a call tomorrow afternoon and see what happens. I have to find my credit card statement with the charge and fax it.

now in "Edit ->Menus" you can set shortcuts for everything and colorize any menu element
