          I dunno - I mean, look at Kubrick movies... they all have similar structure, similar set pieces, similar shots. Yet he's considered a Master and a genius.

          I'm starting to think that though his movies have derivative stories, Michael Bay might be one of the only big-money Hollywood corporate movie Auteurs out there...

                                  most movies plagerize the works of others. The line between homage & theft is blurry.

                                  but in the case of current movies, its mostly theft. Creativity & originality are virtually dead. Shit, even spielberg is stealing from himself.
