It's the two different meanings of "adult" that confuse you...
1. Having to do with subjects intended for a mature audience, especially of a sexual nature.
2. Grown up, mature, etc.
This is a board for webmasters who run adult stuff, not necessarily adult webmasters. ;)

Another comment on the nature of this board. If you are looking for a place where people are only allowed to say nice things, you may have ended up at the wrong board. Open discussion means saying things even when they aren't nice.
Saying her baby was ugly and fat went too far. However, it is perfectly reasonable to think that it is stupid to connect her child and a competition for children with this board.
