Federal Prosecutor Says: Georgia district attorney breaking child pornography laws!

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- A federal prosecutor wants a Georgia district attorney to stop giving out copies of a videotape used as evidence in a teenage sex case that has drawn national attention.

The sex act was videotaped by another partygoer -- and that tape shows the faces of several underage girls.

Douglas County District Attorney David McDade has estimated he has given the tape to about three dozen people -- including reporters, lawmakers and members of the public

"We have to protect our children from district attorneys," Sen. Emanuel Jones said Friday. If state law allows the distribution of the tape, he said, it or similar material could be available to anyone who filed a public records request -- even if they wanted the material for nefarious purposes.

"I believe state laws have been violated," Jones said. "I believe federal laws have been violated."

In short: Federal prosecutors have now officially found more child pornography being distributed by district attorneys than they have by the adult industry since 2257 inspections have began.

CNN has requested the tape under the open records act but has not received a copy.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of this if anything.

This poor guy's sitting in prison serving a 10 year sentence for getting a blowjob from a 15 year old girl when he was 17.

So a District Attorney has "rights" to pass out evidence from cases to reporters, "lawmakers" and members of the public? *LOL* What a joke!!

Nope, Georgia even changed their laws after this case because of this case and they still want let him out. It's completely fucked up. The other minor that was fucking the girl in the video didn't get charged I don't think. It was some old minors oral sex law they got him on.

Sorry, but if someone makes an open records request for the 100 pounds of weed that was seized, do you think they are going to hand that out?

The material is illegal to have, illegal to distribute, and illegal to copy. It shouldn't be difficult for this this half-wit DA to figure it out.

The feds need to take his ass to court, and give him the Nifong treatment.

That could open a whole different can of worms...

Even if the state law required, and may even protect, the prosecutor in his actions, that law has nothing to do with those who now possess it..

Those folks fall under a different law.. Possession of cp..
Their reasons for possessing it would have to supercede cp laws, and I don't see how or why that should happen..

Just telling them to burn the tapes is a slap in the face to the law...

The jury thought he raped her. But did not have enough evidence to convict him on that so the gave him all they could with current law. Still sucks...

Yeah, they didn't have enough evidence, because..........

The girl that gave him the blowjob admitted she did it of her own free will, and then the video came out showing the entire night's events, including before, during, and after the infamous blowjob.
