its true no matter where you go you will meet people who believe in a god. if born in the middle east your god would likely be allah in the us or europe it would likely be the christian god the reason this is true is because you are taught about different gods in different place. This is all obvious so far but for the people that say the bible has been protected by god and thats why we still have it today you could say that for any religion. Why is whatever your god is only mainstream in selected countries? If you hav to beleive in your god to go to heaven how come there are uncontacted tribes in the amazon who know nothing of our gods at all does gods word only spread as far as humans can preach it? yeah thats right coz its all man made.

God also told us to stay strong and resist the devils work as he himself would give us the necessary strength to overcome any fears and doubts we may have.
Clearly the human brain is not capable of understanding the whole dimension that is God and prefers to explain the world in simple terms through reasoning on a very primitive level.
God made a promise to his people which says, if I may quote directly from the Bible, Mark 12: 30-41:

The story of Santa Claus and even the Easter bunny is actually the exact same as the stories "created" in the bible. As in it is based on some factual circumstances and ancient mythology wrapped up to make another story. Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are symbolic and mythological derived from Peganism. Santa's were in fact a Shamen. God is a figment of the imaginations of rulers. He's been talking to our "better" for millennium. They come and tell us all the time what he wants us to do. Which coincidently happens to benefit them.
Read the Old Testament to see who they say this guy God is. He had no problem drowning every living being, except two of every animal and Noah's family. Because, according to our betters, we weren't doing it right.
Then look at Sodom and Gomorrah. He didn't like what they were doing so decided to obliterate the whole city, again including the animals.
Then there were the Jews leaving Israel, he had no problem with the plagues and even the deaths of the eldest male child and then drowned the Egyptian Army.
When the Israelites decided to settle in Canaan he had no problem telling them to kill all the Cannites, again the animals got killed (what is it he has against the animals? It's not like they did anyone any harm.)
All the above have been proved to be bullshit lies. But very handy if you want to scare the living daylights out of ignorant people.
And it doesn't end in pre history. The rapture is a relative new thing dreamed up when some girl had a vision and the local priest decided to make something of it. And the last Pope who happens to be on his way to being a Saint. Told people not to use condom as they were no protection against s AIDS. Which lots of ignorant people did and they're now in Heaven. Or just dead.

When I was "religious" as a young kid growing up in a Filipino Catholic household, I would read the Bible and hear sermons about Jesus and the people he healed. He would heal lepers, forgive sinners, etc. I was "religious" back then so I saw myself as OTHER THAN and BETTER THAN the people Jesus was was working with.
As I got older and as the years went by, I realized that *I* was the leper, the sinner, the tax collector, and the miscellaneous "undesirables" that Jesus came to heal, forgive, and comfort. People find that hard to believe but Grace doesn't come to those who think they have it all figured out. It's hard to see someone who is PROUD and CONFIDENT of his success, of his place in the world, AND of his power to humble himself and say "YES, there's something WRONG with me. I don't know everything. It isn't ABOUT ME".
Yeah, the older I get the more I realize that I am the leper, the prostitute, the tax collector, the bad guy. But Jesus doesn't care about your past. The problem isn't the Truth and Jesus. The problem are always the "Tall" people around Jesus. The ones who crowd around him--wrapped in their self-righteousness and all to eager to CONDEMN those that don't "measure up." Thankfully, the Gospel shows that you can't WORK your way to heaven because let's face it, all of us are SCUM and deserve only DEATH if the LAW is the only measure. But Jesus doesn't care about your past and gives you the free gift of his Grace. This grace is the only thing that can empower people to even THINK of following his Law.
So am I religious? I hope not. The classic example of religiosity often involves self-righteous people pushing out the LEPERS out of their churches and Killing infidels in the name of God. How can you kill in the name of Love? The sad irony of that always gets me.
I'm not religious. I'm just a leper looking for healing. Day in. Day out.
