TSA denies requiring 95-yr-old woman to remove diaper...

I love how the title of the article and the content of it are completely contradictory. Also, if this Jean Weber was my daughter, I'd shoot myself.

The woman's daughter, Jean Weber, told CNN on Monday that the TSA agents acted professionally and never ordered the removal of her mother's diaper. However, Weber said the agents made it clear that her mother could not board the plane unless they were able to inspect the diaper.

According to Weber, it was her idea to remove the diaper so it could be inspected and they could make their flight.

"They were doing their job according to the instructions of the TSA and their policies," Weber said, later adding that the options offered them were to remove the diaper or "she was not going to get on the plane." <---- I would call that "required"
    o_O huh?

No, "required" would mean that she had to board the plane. No one forced her to fly.

What is the age cutoff for requiring the removal of adult diapers? If a 20 year old was wearing one, would it be okay to inspect it?

Yeah not sure if they have any cutoffs, what about babies? It's just weird.

I think we mean "required" in the context of getting on the plane. Not "required" in general.

If it was needed for her to get on the plane, which she bought tickets for and obviously had to get on. It was a requirement.

just the way it has to be..

          we have several options..

do nothing to airport security and we would invite repeat 9-11's
tighten security with random checks like we have been seeing and we help deter mass hijacking 9-11 style
or do ultra secure planes and scare away business ,travel etc.

the smokey method is almost foolproof.

step#1 weld shut door from cockpit to cabin.
step#2 all communication goes from cabin to ground to cockpit and vice versa
step#3 planes are split into 10 passenger lockers. ( the idea being you have to trust 9 other people or pay for the whole locker to yourself , lockers would be semi-fireproof/bombproof and have the ability to eliminate all oxygen at a touch of a button or in the event a drastic increase in heat /smoke is detected )

the first 2 steps would be simple and cheap , the last would be a tad more expensive but . oh well

Exactly.. Aren't there a lot of 'bombs hidden in strollers', and kids wired with explosives in some of the more war torn areas? Seems like a good place to hide something... Take advantage of a senile old person...

fact of the matter is that this is unconstitutional! If you trade in liberty for fear, you do not deserve liberty, end of story!
