History has shown time and again, porn or not, that once the driving force behind a company, the visionary etc. leaves, the company almost always go downhill. Doesn't even seem to matter if the visionary sticks around for awhile to teach the others how things are done etc. Once they're gone, the company usually just slowly dies as all the intangibles that person did are now gone.

I guess it depends on the motivation behind buying twistys. Did they buy it to expand as a going concern and intend to keep the twistys style, or was it a purchase of opportunity to slice yet another market segment and homogenize the brand ?Comment

That's one of my points... It's been the selection of models, the quality of the content, the constant and very frequent updates, the balance between glamor and hardcore, the dedication to giving their members what THEY wanted.. all that and more "intangibles" is what's made Twistys what it is.Comment

I don't think Twisty's was bought so manwin could add xsells to the join page like we've seen with many other sites being sold in the last few years.

There's no doubt that Manwin has the money to update the site. I just hope that they continue to give some of us independent producers & photographers who contributed in the past the opportunity to continue to shoot new content rather than simply assign one or more of their contracted producers to do all the updates.
Besides Shap's & Michael's hard work and good direction, I feel a major part of the reason that Twistys and other multi-model sites like Karups, ATK & Nubiles are successful is that they have a variety of talented producers in different parts of the world submitting the hottest and newest models constantly rather than just relying on one or two producers that they can lock down on an exclusive contract to shoot whoever the home office tells them to.Comment
