I've done Bikram, but I wasn't crazy about it. There is an element of almost competitive/bootcamp mentality because Bikram (the guy) is all about yoga competitions, and a lot of teachers/people who are drawn to it end up being a little intense, and not in such a good way.

The dude who was teaching my first class was basically like a spinning instructor, yelling shit about how we all wanted "Beyonce coconut butts" and such. I don't mind that kind of tough love/inspiration when I'm doing an actual boot camp class, but it felt weird and wrong in a hot yoga class. I chalked it up to the particular teacher and went back probably like 5 more times, but it was always just a little too pushy for my liking.

I do generic "hot yoga" and I really love Moksha. Both are just less militant ways of doing yoga in a heated room. Obviously, to each his own, but Bikram had a weird vibe for me and I wouldn't do it again.
