I barely drink any sort of soda these days but I am a sucker for new flavours and stuff so when I saw this bright orange bottle of coke on the shelf a moment ago I decided to say hell to the sugar content and try it. My god, worst soda flavour ever in my book. Bring back diet Vanilla coke to the UK and cast this rubbish out to sea.
Orange Coke = seriously yuck

Never seen or heard of this.
I do love Cherry Coke, Coke and Coke Zero.Comment

Was that the coffee flavoured stuff? Now that I knew not to try. We don't get all the zillion flavours that are available in the States. I tried that new strawberry and cream pepsi when I was in the States and that was strange but okay.Comment

I just read they are reintroducing it as Coke Vanilla Zero. I will have to look for it in the stores. That's about the only non diet flavored pop I like, that and regular Coke. Regular Pepsi etc are too sweet IMO. I have been addicted to Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi and lately Diet Pepsi Jazz(strawberry flavor especially)Comment

summer mix? Have you tried the black cherry one? yeah the caramel one is like cream soda basically, but not bad... I am a pop addict, I swear... I drink tons of it...Comment

Zero is diet jut with splenda rather than the other stuff. I nearly only have diet stuff anyway when I do have cola. When I was in the States I had Cherry Coke Zero and even got my dad who refuses to drink anything with the word 'diet' on it to drink and like it. He is a diabetic so getting him drinking something sugar free is good.I just read they are reintroducing it as Coke Vanilla Zero. I will have to look for it in the stores. I want to thank the soda gods when we got Dr. Pepper Zero over here in the UK because Diet Dr. Pepper was barely ever available here.Comment

I think that was what it was called...summer blend or mix...didn't like it but can't really describe the taste.
You are a 'pop' vs 'soda' person, eh? Either are better than when they call them 'fizzy drinks' over here.Comment
-
Pepsi Max has been one of the major soda varieties in the UK for ages and it was always diet without calling it diet. The idea was that it has no sugar but a bit more caffeine. I think it is okay but tastes a bit flat.Comment

that's funny they call them fizzy drinks like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Yeah I live and grew up in the midwest and that's what it is called here and I think soda sounds weird.Comment

Well, Charlie is an English book
My parents went to college in Western, PA where they say pop but both were from Eastern, PA where they say soda. They ended up being introduced to each other by a common friend who said they were the only two people he knew that said 'soda'.Comment

That's funny.
I heard someone from Arkansas say they call all pop "Coke" down there...Comment

The British word for trash or garbage. So, instead of throwing something in the trash we throw it in the rubbish.Originally posted by pornopetewhat is "rubbish"?Comment

And I think it is kind of funny that I have reached the point where I automatically use British phrases in my writing and don't notice it until somebody points it out.
I still have trouble using the American sense for 'pants' though and confusing British people who think I am being rude.Comment

Pepsi Holiday Spice: a limited edition variety which the company began selling November 1, 2004 in the U.S.A. and Canada for an eight-week period, and again in the 2006 Christmas season. It is flavored with a seasonal finish of ginger and cinnamon, somewhat similar to the Swedish Julmust.

If you mix pepsi with a little bit of tea, you get the idea of what it tastes like... I really liked it, most people didn't...Comment

It could be interesting..I guessed it might have cinnamon in it. Sounds almost like mulled pepsi instead of mulled wine.Comment

Haven't heard of that one.
I generally dig on orange-flavored stuff myself... but I'm not sure I'd be big into the orange-cola flavored thing.
Maybe I'll try it if I see it... just to say I touched the stove, and I now know what "hot" means.

the Zero products use Splenda which is a sweetner that is somehow made from sugar but is 'sugarfree'. So, it tastes more like real sugar and therefore the Zero products taste more like the full fat varities of the sodas without the sugar. The diet verions use things like nutrasweet.Comment
