    Summer (Fuckin!) Slowdown- Rant and Tips

    I'm totally feelin' it, and it SUX!!

    I promote ringtones via PPC. Here's some shit I'm trying:

    1. Spend more!

    ROI on buys is down, so I'm looking to increase spending, so net isn't too dismal. Bulldozing my way through.

    2. Decrease bids.

    Ego bidding will kill you this time of year. Bid according to current conversion ratio, ONLY.

    3. Note conversion pattern changes.

    Overall conversions are changing, as are the time of day, and day of week ratios. The more accurately you can note these changes, the more you can optimize campaigns accordingly.

    Well.. there's a start.

    Anybody else have interesting summer strategies?

          LOL here we go again...I'm gonna sit here and wait for Will76 to come in and tell you there's no such thing as "summer slowdown."

          Oh wait, he changed that...it just doesn't affect adult. even though it affects mainstream traffic.

              normally I experience a summer slow down. But I will admit that my traffic and conversions are up this summer!

                  i promote mainstream. Ringtones. And I can assure you, that it's real. I won't speculate as to the cause(s) but i think it's a combination of MANY factors.

                          Yeap and I asked you to explain to me how the summer slow down works and you never came back. Big surprise.

                          So tell me, one of the main reasons you said we make less money during the summer is because the kids are out of school. Explain to me how the kids being out of school causes us to make less money.


                          BTW, I don't know enough about ring tones, maybe they are affected by the summer, maybe not I don't know.
