Shit, my Mom used to make them for me because we couldn't afford to buy them. My favorite were the ones made our the the fabric with Gecko's all over. Went great with my mullet! Snoogins.

I had blacks and reds and wore them with my union jack sleevless shirt and white Kapa shoes with a van halen bandanna around my ankle

I had a parachute pants accident in middle school. We were playing dodgeball and I saw a ball coming that I thought I could catch and ran and slid on my knees to catch it. The friction of the parachute pants against the polished wood gym floor cause the material around my knees to briefly catch fire and melt. Had to go to the nurse's office to have burn cream put on my knees. I don't think I wore parachute pants much more after that.
