    The Mirvish Family regrets to announce the passing of Edwin Mirvish on July 11, 2007 in the early hours of the morning at St. Michael?s Hospital, Toronto. Born July 24, 1914, he was only a few weeks away from reaching his 93rd birthday.

          It's truly a sad day in Toronto.

          Ed Mirvish was a true entrepreneur. Any one in this business who has built there own little empire could learn a lot from this man. He brought life, personality and culture (via Mirvish productions) to this city - and he was a master marketer and salesman.

          R.I.P. Ed - the lights at Honest Eds will light up bathurst & bloor for a long time to come.

            know of him - he is a true gentleman and great business entrepreneur. basically came to Toronto with nothing and made an empire without forgetting the little guy. he always gave to the poor and times of holidays his store would give turkeys etc. for free just to say thank you and help out the needy. a true statesman

              Seen a clip on him..He was very generous and gave away 2000 turkeys every year..quite the icon..RIP Ed

                I got one of those turkeys. well my grandma did when she first came to Canada, she died in April at 91 and now him so it's kinda really sad for me.
