the dismantling of the productive real wage working class was done in part with propaganda that the jobs lost would be replaced by tech jobs. that of course was a lie and the middle class hollowing out was covered up by loose credit. now that illusion is over there is a giant gap in the once former middle class.
the future of the US is going to be radical societal upheaval as people realize how much they were conned.
