I have had thoughts on this myself and it comes across a little arrogant. I would never call a homosexual anything other than gay, which is an acceptable use on both sides of the coin. But when a gay man refers to a straight man as a "Breeder" it seems to draw a distinct line of separation and appears to air a feeling of superiority or disdain towards the straight man. Whether there is or is not an intention behind the use of the term "Breeder" I can see how it can be offensive.
