Another F'ing scorpion in my house!

This is seriously out of control. The 3rd one in 6 wks. I already had the exterminator come out twice. Im gonna lose my mind. This means i need a man in the house to open apple juice and kill scorpions. I think my roommate and i are gonna relocate to California we can't live like this.

Once at the Lightspeed Studio we had a company bring out some furniture we had purchased. As they were carrying in a couch through the front door one of the guys dropped the couch and screamed out in pain. Turns out he was bitten by a scorpion. He hand swelled up like a balloon.

Ah girl I feel your pain. We live out in S. Chandler and have had experience with those buggers. You need someone to come in and scorpion proof your place as there is nothing that can really KILL them. Get rid of everything in your yard that can attract them and seal your place up tight. I also keep a broomstick around with a big ol wadded up piece of duct tape and pick them up that way. They do NOT like being upside down AT all and pretty much die all the time. Watch out for the little ones and dont forget to shake out your shoes before putting them on!

fire ants are their only natural enemy. I used to collect them when I lived in texas..they were abundant in my cabin...fire ants were abundant outside my cabin.. so before I killed the Fire ants, I caught alot of scorpions, put them in a jar together..made them fight it out for a few weeks till there were only a few left...then scooped the jar in the fire ant pile and watched the mayhem.

shake out boots/shoes/ pants before putting them on and shake out your bedding before crawling in at night...

4 times? yikes. i guess what makes me so scared is getting stung. i hear its extremely painful not to mention they look like something straight out of a horror film.

Yeah it's more painfull than a bee sting not so much the sting itself but more
the burning sensation afterwards of the venom....that said it's not agonising
either especially after a visit to a doctor and some treatment the pain is
going away pretty quickly.

So try to avoid if possible but when it happens no need to panic and fear
for your life.....

If you do get bit, try a little clorox on the sting..immediately..seems to kill the venom and lessen the pain.

my roommate thinks im nuts but i honestly think the only way im going to get over my fear is to get stung. i jokingly/serious said next one i see ima grab it and let it sting me so i know what to expect and know what it feels like.

I was bit by a scorpion as a kid here in AZ...it's extremely painful (my arm went numb for about a week). Check your bed before you climb in!!!

That would defenitely work just make sure you verify you're letting yourself
get stung by a non dangerous specy Also know that they usually
don't sting unless they feel threatened. So as long they're not trapped or
get accidently stepped on they'll stay away from you. Scorpios like spiders
and snakes (except the occasional type like huge anacondas) grasp the fact
that you're bigger than them and can't be eaten.

I've lived in AZ almost 10 years now and I still haven't had any problems with scorpians. I've seen them when I was out hiking or camping, but never in my house. Just to try and help a little, scorpians can't climb glass, so I've heard that putting your bed and couch legs in a glass cup or something like that will prevent them from getting up into you stuff.
