I tend to agree.
The one thing that really turns me off about right wing hate radio isn't the politics, it's the histronics and name-calling.
When Air America launched, I first thought, good - finally an alternative. Yet while Air America approaches issues from the opposite spectrum, they have succumbed to similar tactics of shouting, and chest-pounding rudeness.
There is nothing wrong with feeling passionately about your beliefs and stating them forcefully, but when everyone is yelling, no one is listening.
It might feel good, but it does little to change anything.
I didn't see the Sanjay Gupta piece, but it obviously really pushed Michael Moore's button.
In his defense, I didn't hear Moore use name-calling (he used the word crap a few times to describe coverage and he added an Indian inflection in his voice the final time he mentioned Gupta), but compared to what you will hear on Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Savage. et al, every show, that was nothing. (NOTE: The aforementioned conservative pundits and their cohorts such as Ann Coulter, claim there is a liberal bias in the media, yet who can name more that a few of their counterparts on the left? Al Franken had to create his own radio network and has nothing near the same size and scope of reach). /tangent
The rest of what Michael Moore said, was pretty spot on in my opinion, especially about the war.
Given that you can tune in Fox and many other media outlets and get a barrage of pro-war right-wing left-bashing invective served up hot daily, I think it's okay for Michael Moore to occasionally spout off.
You tell 'em fat man!
Oh, and if you haven't seen it yet, be sure to watch "Sicko".

I saw it live and I was very proud of moore - he doesnt do these interviews unless it's live anymore becasue he gets edited - so applause to wolf and cnn for taking him on live - and wolf did take it in stride - the media does have some explaining to do about the spins and edits regarding war, drug companies, etc...Comment

I actually like Sanjay Gupta. He's one of the better medical reporters out there and usually just provides the facts. His specials are really informative.
But having him do a fact finding mission on national healthcare is like having a gun shop owner do one on gun control. He's a doctor and will of course be against it due to financial reasons. It's a conflict of interest and CNN should have known better.Comment

wolf blitzers a good guy, i cant say hes a push over cuz he stands his ground, just does it in a quieter way than the michael moores. michael was way too emotional. But I guess its good, it plays to the slow folks and drama queens.
Michael sure is no intellectual though. He should stick to presenting the facts of experts not acting like an expert himself. I personally can't stand the guy, but its good to have guys like him in the mainstream finally.
And wow, the Lou Dibbs bit at the end. For a pseudo intellect I really don't mind the guy, but its so hard to watch him try to keep up with some of his guests.

He is fighting the good fight for truth and equality. It surprises me that so many people dislike him when he is the one putting his neck on the line just to improve the American way of life. Who cares what he looks like or what he eats or who he fucks (or doesn't fuck), he has a good message and has been more than effective in communicating it.
In that video he is right to criticize CNN and the other mainstream media outlets (on TV) for presenting the American people with biased reporting that people take as fact. We all know that these networks cater to the advertisers, and that is just not correct. The news should be the news, present the story and the associated facts and move on, allow the public to decide what side they are on, and if they can not then they can watch or read an editorial about it.
To all who dislike him...we get it, you think he's fat and trying to ruin your fun. Unfortunately, that just isn't the case. He is trying to improve your country and hold your leaders accountable for the decisions that they make. The US government has been about big business for a long time now, it is time to give the power back to the people who keep your country and economy strong...you. Wake up and listen to the people who are telling you that everything is not perfect.
