Oh and one other killer thing sure PS3 and the 360 get GTA4 but only the 360 is going to get exclusive additional content down the road for it. So it's the system to get gta4 on for sure.

Well less money for the 360 for more games and a lot of the games have extra features. Yeah i'd say that's the better bet. Not to mention live kicks the shit out of the playstation network. I hope that sony can pull off some big stuff at E3. PS3 has dropped the ball so far and I want them to do better. Because competition is good for all consumers.

Sony dropped the ball big time.

The PS3 has no games, has no vibration in controller (big one for me). (gives you that wet fish feeling or complete lack of feeling in game cause controller has no feeling anymore), ps3 has the worst online interface, nobody online has mics to chat with or team up with, the ps3 is so raw and unrefined with there black boring interface and after I plugged it into my net connection to update it the damn thing took 6 hours of downloading updates, it must of downloaded 500-1000meg update or something it was slow as all hell.

While the xbox 360 has all the hottest games, they are all refined and play great, heaps of great games and all games have online play and the online part of Xbox 360 kicks ass, driving, RTS, or first person shooters like Battlefield 2 on the 360 just kick ass & show how far behind the PS3 is in the games market. Also the PS3 driving wheel rocks.

Microsoft will pickup some nice market share in the coming years with the superior system. The Playstation diehard fanboys who don't like change will stick with the PS3 but when they see there friends with games like "Gears of war" it will star to change their minds about the 360.

All I care is that God of War was playable in PS2 so I didn't have to buy the crappy PS3 and yes, I would have bought it just for that one game.

But I loves the 360 and I will be out of touch for about a week starting September 25th....HALOOOOOOOOOO III

I doubt you are taking into account the difference in price between a 20 GB HDD and 120GB HDD and also the cost of adding HDMI.

As far as the PS3. The increase in supply of blue diodes is behind this price cut. They now cost Sony $8 each isntead of nearly 10X that. Not to mention reduction of costs of other parts.

I'm sure it would be even cheaper is Sony went cheap like Microsoft and made wi-fi an add-on. Considering that the 360 likes to be touted for it's online capabilities and yet not have built-in wi-fi seems dumb. Then I remember they charge $100 for the wi-fi add-on so maybe not so dumb on Microsoft's part. Not very good for the consumer though.

I think that the PS3 is gonna be coming around for a couple of reasons. First off, they are starting to get a few great exclusive games out like Ninja Gaiden Sigma which just came out and is getting some excellent reviews, plus Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk are looking pretty cool and for those knocking PS3s online situation, I know that I'd rather use my small blueray headset over 360s headset. And just wait for God Of War 3 to come out, that's gonna be reason enough to get the system.

Another reason that they're gonna start taking off is the fact that many people already own a 360, so when Christmas comes around, what are people gonna buy them ??? A PS3.

Some people knocked the PS3s price drop, but do you blame them ?? I'm sure that their technology in the system has dropped down a lot, look at Blu-Ray players, they're down in price, so I'm sure the overhead on a PS3 is down to.

I've got all 3 new systems and I love points about each system. I just felt that the PS3 needed some defending

There's nothing for me to take into account. This was reported online and in this months OXM Magazine. They are NOT taking a loss on the new Elite models. This is fact. I'm just reporting it here.

I didn't say they were taking a loss. I'm saying you can't use figures for the 20 GB 360( if that's what you did ) and say the Elites costs the same to make.

Where did I say ANYTHING about the 20gb model?

As I stated when the PS3 first came out the blu diodes for the blu-ray drives where in short supply. That's not an issue for Sony anymore. The Blu-ray drives were $125 by themselves with MOST of that cost being because of the blue diodes. Those same diodes now only cost Sony $8. Not to mention the drop in cost of other parts. Look for stand alone blu-ray players to drop in price too. Maybe even lower than HD-DVD players.

I wasn't really referring to the current cost of the 360, but when they first dropped.

This new package PS3 is putting out isn't much different than what the 360 did last summer by packaging PGR3, 3mths Live and some Marketplace points together. The only difference is they can drop the $, but Sorny is still taking a hit for a litte while longer.
