Yes, it is, well from what I gathered. Does this mean incompatible for use on a machine?

its a chinese font

.ttc is a collection of fonts. to use on windows you need it separated out into .ttf files

I'm assuming the reason these aren't coverting properly is because the resource forkk is not present in a .zip file, as per: http://www.acutesystems.com/helpcf.htm#copymac.
