I almost find it inversely proportional to traffic on a few sites I've run. At various times over the last 5 years when I've had higher page rank I got less traffic. Page rank bottomed out then I had more traffic. I've also had sites that never got above PR1 and got plenty of SE traffic.

Google is full shit concerning this issue.
They just got beat by a single company that knew how the system worked.
Today right now at this moment...
Nearly 90% of all adult traffic goes to 1 single company with this same company owning nearly every possible keyword and ranking PR1 with several additional links below them in SERP's that this same company more or less owns.

More bullshit and mind games from Google. Fact is, all Google are doing with this and Panda is sewing FEAR in everyone. This is how despotic regimes operate. They get everyone scared then they control you. The way to beat Google is to boycott the fuckers, boycott gmail, boycott chrome, boycott everything to do with Google. Then you take away their power.
In the long run a muti-polar web of several search engines is the only way to protect small webmasters. So Stop supporting google and start promoting alternatives.Comment
