I use StatCounter because it is free, unobtrusive (completely invisible - no little shitty "counted by" image at all) and the statistics are well-presented and easy to understand. However, as martinsc said, you only get more advanced logs for the past 100 visitors (although the counter doesn't stop at 100, if that makes sense).
I've also tried Google Analytics, but frankly i found the counter code to be very slow to use and the backend for the statistics was far too complicated for my needs.Comment
