I can't believe it only took them 100 years.

I am amazed. I have been listening to the news while working and it appears that they have finally figured out that gasoline expands in your car's gas tank when it is hot out.

I wonder how much money they spent on coming to that conclusion?

They are even calling on Congressional hearings on the matter.

I am in the wrong business.

Heat can even raise your tire pressure, better call for a national emergency.

I wonder what it does to blood pressure. A medical emergency perhaps?

I believe because it also expands in the tank at the pump, so when you're paying $3 a gallon, you aren't always getting a gallon.

I'm not a scientist tho', so maybe I'm wrong.

The tanks are usually about 15+ feet underground, where it should be much cooler than above ground. Does the gas heat up much upon transfer from the underground tank to the gas pump?
