Let's start with a mass murderer. An innocent animal is locked in a cage, as well as a mass murderer. You only have time to unlock one cage. Who do you save? Is the innocent animal worth more than the human in this case? (the mass murdered is handcuffed and won't be able to murder you next...)
What about a rapist? Or a pedophile? A thief? Where would you draw the line?
Or, is each human on earth more valuable than an animal, no matter what?

Are you for real? I would pull Hitler out of a burning box if it meant the fire wouldn't burn his foot vs torch an entire litter of puppies. They are dogs. You would let a human being die to save a dog? Now THAT is pretty fucked up!
DamianJ hit it spot on, you yourself and your family have killed (or led to the death of) many animals to stay alive.
Is it okay to kill a cat? A cow? A mosquito? A bear? I assume if a dog was eating you you would just let it eat you and die so it doesn't starve to death?
